Rack Protection Products:-
Rack protection products are designed to
minimize the cost of damaged racking, shelving, mezzanines and any other
structure that requires it’s frame to be protected from forklift trucks and any
other moving objects within the area.
These products are designed to absorb the impact of collisions,
protecting your racking, shelving, mezzanines
ect and the products stored on them from damage.
Upright Guards/Column Guards:-
Warehouse
rack protectors are usually installed on the sides or ends of the racks, and can
be made from a variety of materials, such as steel or plastic. Some common
types of warehouse rack protectors include column guards, guard rails, and
end-of-aisle protectors. These devices help to ensure the safety and integrity
of the shelving/racking/mezzanine.
Rack End Protection
Barriers:-
Rack end protection barriers are
required by law and HSE guidelines to be fitted at the end of each frame to
ensure the protection and integrity of Pallet Racking within the warehouse.
Rack end barriers are a visible warning to forklift trucks to stay within the
aisle lane and protect front face of racking frames so as forklift truck does
not cut corner and strike racking.
Guide Rail:-
Guide Rail
Systems are used to control forklift truck movement in racking
environments whilst maximizing the travel speed. Guide Rail is a perfect
solution for narrow aisles where space is at a premium and gangway widths need
to be kept to a minimum. Guide Rail Systems work in perfect harmony
with cantilever , heavy-duty racking or any standard pallet
racking system
Anti-Collapse Mesh:-
Anti-collapse mesh is made up of
individual panels bolted together to form a mesh wall behind pallet racking to
ensure aisles and walkways are safe areas should a forklift strike the racking and
force a product fall. Mesh panels are held in place with stand-off brackets,
this ensures the pallet on the rack has enough entry space to sit on the racking
beams safely.
EU or UK Standards That Affect Warehouse Racking Protection.
EU and UK standards that can affect warehouse racking protectors. In the UK, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has established guidelines for the design, installation, and maintenance of racking systems in warehouses and other storage facilities. These guidelines are designed to ensure that racking systems are safe and secure and can withstand the weight and forces applied to them.
In the EU,
the Eurocode 3: Design of steel structures is a set of standards that applies
to the design of steel structures, including racking systems. These standards
cover a wide range of issues, including material properties, structural
analysis, and design recommendations. It's important for manufacturers of
warehouse racking protectors to be familiar with these standards and to ensure
that their products meet the requirements set forth in them.
